Peak Monkey

The “super-duper corona” statistics appear daily in all of the local “fake news” venues. What is most ludicrous is the sheer number of morons who are suffering from “COVID Anxiety Syndrome.” They track the statistics and become “unglued” when the tally goes up. On-line comments should really be the barometer for localized psychosis.

The most common comments are of the “wear a mask and get vaccinated” variety. Sometimes, there are imbeciles who add the phrase, “follow the science,” but provide no evidence of “science.” The ridiculous tiered reopening guidelines are also often referred to as “the science,” although there is nothing scientific about it.

The comment that has got to be the winner of gross stupidity and ignorance follows:
“I’m not an anti-vaxxer. But I’m concerned about how fast the vaccines went to market. Nevertheless, I took my first shot at LCC on Tuesday. I have to take my second shot at Neal Blaisdell. And I will be there, skeptical about the long-term effects on my health, but self-aware that I could be a potential vector, and give it somebody else in the short-term. I’d rather die than be responsible for somebody else’s death.”
Oh, please! Here is a monkey who wants to be a martyr. Note that the fear of death is at the core of the rubbish. Is the clown 70+ years old? Is the clown in close and prolonged proximity to people 70+ years old with other chronic health issues?

Of course, when “Tier 3” was finally achieved a few months, thousands of people suddenly appeared “out of the woodwork.” Traffic increased. Passengers on the buses increased. The shopping malls became increasingly congested. All of these idiots were apparently fearfully sequestered in their mausoleums … “sheltering at home.” That’s the gist of the stupidity-at-large. Well, hey! Stay home, stay healthy!

And, as mentioned in Notes, nearly the entire local population is loyal to the Democrat (sic) Party. Hawai’i is a “Blue” state. Loyalty to the party is obviously more important than intelligence. Personal tenure here needs to come to end. Where to escape?
