Stimuli

The $600 “stimulus” direct deposit transpired today. Wheee! There are comments everywhere on the Net about the measly amount, so no discussion here. At the least, a couple of additional dinners at Panda Express® per month can now be afforded.

The new mayor of Honolulu was sworn in. Will there be any changes? Baha! Ha! Ha! Haaa! Hawai’i is just like a corrupt third-work nation. And, the former mayor? He’s running for governor of Hawai’i. Says it all, doesn’t it?

The weather has been extremely mild for Winter so far, thank goodness. The ambient temperature is cooler, but tank tops are still being worn day and night.

Ala Moana Center has reduced its operational hours to pre-Saturnalia times. The mall is only open to 8pm on Friday and Saturday.

The only good news is that 24-Hour Fitness® has exited Chapter 11 bankruptcy. So, the threat of a sudden and permanent closure has been abated for now. How long will that last?

So far, Visible service has been adequate. Yeah, latency is a problem. However, does it matter if a Web site takes one more second to load? Download speeds are not spectacular either, but the latter is adequate for 720p streaming. 5G is kind of a farce. There are other issues as well, but having an unlimited data allocation is imperative at this time.

Postscript: Release Julian Assange now! Full pardons for Julian Assange, Edward Snowden, Chelsea Manning, and Reality Winner!
