FOIA Request Update

The personal “clusterfuck” continues unabated. Yesterday, a duplicate e-mail was sent to the liaison handling Social Security FOIA requests using the iCloud e-mail address. This time, a confirmation e-mail was received. Apparently, the Proton Mail address used for the initial e-mail inquiry was probably filtered out as “spam.”

A response was received today. The FOIA request by regular mail was allegedly never received, most likely because of “delivery issues with USPS.” The use of the on-line FOIA site was suggested to expedite the new request. So, this evening at the International Marketplace, time was spent to submit the FOIA request and pay the associated fee, all on-line. Why wasn’t this done in the first place?

Hopefully, Aunty Lyn’s data will arrive before the end of the year. As far as the annuity payout is concerned, nonchalance has turned into commitment. The money will be used to increase quality-of-life, mostly concerning food. There are no plans to make “feel good” purchases of useless possessions. Well, once the Fascists implement the digital currency scheme, all the money is going to vanish anyway.

At present, the option for a one-time payment is being considered. If the payout is close to the end of the year, there won’t be any problems with estimated tax payments. The income tax at empire and State levels will be high. This will be the first time that an empire tax return will be required since many, many moons ago.

The increased dividends from the investment accounts, thanks to the Fed interest rate hikes, will also increase the tax burden. There are no qualms about paying the taxes. Then, the tax situation will return to normal (i.e., only filing State tax returns) the year after. Even with finally taking IRA payouts at age 70.5 years, there will be no change.

Addendum: $600 was transferred from investment accounts to the local bank to cover expenses plus inflation.

Miscellany: The colon cancer (fecal occult) screening results returned negative. Another reason to improve the quality of food consumed.
