Actuarial statistics approximate life expectancy for males in empire to be 77 years. In Hawai’i, the life expectancy is closer to 80 years. Using that age, there are now only 13.5 years remaining. Obviously, personal lifespan could be longer.
Observations have not yielded the approximate age when physical decrepitude increases exponentially. For most senior citizens, physical decrepitude (i.e., end of the “good years”) appears to occur at 70 years of age. Unfortunately, the majority of senior citizens were already in bad shape well before retirement. So, only an anecdotal conclusion can be reached.
Even if a senior citizen was in excellent shape with an age-defying physique, the phenomenon is unsustainable. Physical decrepitude would most likely be unavoidable after 73 years of age. Muscle atrophy and skeletal deformations will increase rapidly and likely catch up with other peers.
The only valid observation so far is that life as a decrepit senior citizen is not only intolerable, it’s unacceptable. Thus, a final exit strategy must prevail. Given that option, personal lifespan may be forcibly limited to seven more years.
