Miser 2023

Ho-hum

The monthly credit card statement is available on-line on the 3rd of each month. The statement for the month of May closed at $735 for all charges. Every expense (except for laundry and rent) is charged to the credit card. Almost all of the charges are food-related. There’s nothing else to purchase. The bottom line? The miserly ways still persist.

Panda Express® in Hawai’i has finally introduced Panda Rewards®. Lots of great deals are unlocked by accumulating points. Dining there five days per week really racks up the points. So, more money is saved and the miserly ways continue. Sheesh!

A new Wahl® trimmer was purchased for $18 (with senior citizen discount) at Ross®. It will replace the marginal Remington® cordless trimmer. Unfortunately, the new trimmer is not cordless. The old trimmer was cleaned and refurbished. It will be donated to charity.

On a side note, a Korean market has opened in the former Longs® downtown location. The products are mostly imported packaged Asian food. Sadly, there is nothing of personal interest there.

Posts in Notes are being shuffled around for aesthetics. Certain posts are being deleted, usually with prior warning. Reshuffled posts may be assigned several weeks back, anywhere there is an open slot. The general rule is … only one post per day. Obviously, there is nothing to do during the evenings in the mausoleum at the “old folks home” in Waikiki. Bah! Ha! Ha! Haaa!

Miscellany: Both the resident manager and property administrative assistant have resigned from the “old folks home” in Waikiki.
