Poisonous Peanut Butter

A “voluntary recall” of certain lots of Jif® peanut butter, allegedly due to salmonella contamination, was announced today. Actually, there is no formal recall. No refunds are forthcoming, as the advice is to just dispose of the product. Anyway, the suspect peanut butter was found to be in personal possession, although one jar (purchased at the same time) has already been consumed without incident. The remaining jar may become a donation in the elevator lobby of the “old folks home” in Waikiki. What a waste!

Well, the fearmongering over the monkeypox virus has reached a fever pitch, even in Hawai’i. No discussion necessary as all of the sources of truth linked in Notes have reported on the matter. Addendum: The Jif® peanut butter “voluntary recall” is quite puzzling. There were allegedly 14 cases of salmonella poisoning across 12 states in empire. About 870 lots (with last three digits of the affected lots being the processing location code 425) have been implicated.

Postscript: There is no point for the average layman to rely on the mainstream “fake news” media for accurate and truthful coverage about the events in Ukraine. Coverage on RT and Sputnik is sparse.
