Memorial Day 2025

Essentially, another no-holiday holiday has come and gone with the hottest day of the Spring season so far. Nothing noteworthy transpired, which is good. Brunch was served at the other fast food joint in town. No other changes in itinerary were necessary. Otherwise, same ol’ shit.

A quick trek to Kahala Mall ensued on Thursday afternoon last week. The sole purpose of the excursion was to make a large donation of “stuff” (most were received from neighbor Ignacio) at the Goodwill kiosk. The three coffee mugs from the ABC Store gift redemptions were also included.

With that matter out of the way, the divestiture of the Beats® Pill and iPad Pro M4 can be now be addressed. In the future, there will no purchases of any kind of Bluetooth® speaker. There are also no plans to replace the AirPods Pro 2 earbuds. Replacement of the Apple Watch Series 9 is possible, but only after its battery capacity diminishes. As for the iPad, who knows?

The vast hurdy-gurdy video library (HGVL) on the LaCie® SSD has not increased markedly since its reinstatement. There are now 237 choice selections. Of course, deletions are still occurring for no particular reason. The HGVL is a great hobby, eh?

On a somber note, the CEO of 24 Hour Fitness was in town last week. His purpose, disclosed by an “insider,” was to determine which location(s) were eligible for permanent closure. He made a quick tour of the downtown gym on Tuesday morning last week. The possibility of the downtown gym being selected is quite high.

Well, the antics of “Orange Bad Man” never ceases to amaze. The apparent “dressing down” of South African President Cyril Ramaphosa was idiotic. “Orange” made accusations of “genocide” while holding up pictures of events that transpired in Goma (Democratic Republic of Congo). What a maroon! And, what about his complete support of the Zionists and what’s occurring in Gaza? Sheer hypocrisy! And, what about that absurd “Golden Dome” project? At first, the assumption was that “Orange” was referring to his orange cranium. Late stage decline of empire, you think?

Addendum: Apparently “Orange Bad Man” had “a little problem” with Apple® CEO Tim Cook. “Orange” is now threatening to impose a 25% tariff on iPhones in order to force the instantaneous relocation of the device’s manufacturing to empire. Sheer lunacy!

Fuck It Friday - 30

Fuck It Friday (FIF)! Sporadic news and commentary of no interest to anyone ... FIF! On-line privacy and security is the primary focus of this edition. Yes, this is Fuck It Friday!

The recent fretting over security and privacy for the iPhone 16 Pro and iPad Pro M4 has been “much ado about nothing.” Take on-line tracking, for example. There are only a small number of approved Web sites that are perused daily. Only the technology “blogs” have advertisements (which are blocked) and a high number of trackers (also blocked). So, tracking is a moot issue. And, consequently, the use of a VPN is really no longer necessary. Fuck it!

As far as on-line security is concerned, both the iPhone and iPad have all security and privacy options enabled. End of story. The only real concern was the dreadful leak of personal data on the “Dark Web” because of data breaches as detailed previously in Notes. The necessary mitigations were invoked. Unfortunately, constant vigilance is still required. Fuck it!

The iPad will be one year in personal possession on May 19th. Its warranty will also expire on that day. The device has only gone through eight full charge cycles so far. The iPhone is currently at 57 full charge cycles since its acquisition in January. The iPad is obviously not deployed much. Thus, its divestiture is always in question. Fuck it!

The latest version of Visible+ has been more than adequate. However, even with unlimited prioritized cellular data, total data usage has been low as predicted (about 23GB with one week left in the billing cycle). Cellular usage statistics on the iPhone will be disabled subsequently. Fuck it!

The routine remains nauseatingly the same. Yeah, same ol’ shit. Notes posts are becoming less frequent as a result. In addition, the measures taken to block search engines has paid off. Visitors to Notes has declined drastically. Fuck it!

The daily late afternoon outings to the International Marketplace continues unabated. However, the experience can only be described as excruciatingly boring. One hour of loitering there with myriad idiotic tourists is almost too much for the sanity. Of course, vegetating in the mausoleum at the “old folks home” in Waikiki is worse. Fuck it!

The strange antics of “Orange Bad Man” and his administration do not cease to boggle the mind. The Ukraine “negotiations” ended in failure as expected. The Iran “negotiations” will see the same result. Nothing else need be mentioned … this is Fuck It Friday. So, fuck it!

Victory Day 2025

Vladimir Putin - Opening Speech

The Russian Federation celebrated Victory Day, an annual event on May 9th since the 1945 year. The celebration is a remembrance of the then-Soviet victory against Nazi Germany.

Russian Federation President Vladimir Putin delivered a moving speech prior to the annual military parade. Many world leaders attended the event including special guest, People’s Republic of China President Xi Jinping. Steven Seagal was even spotted in the crowd.

Both Sputnik and RT covered the event. The videos are available on the respective sites. Of course, the “fake news” media in the collective “West” took the opportunity to denigrate Russia and spew vitriolic bullshit about the event.

On a side note, victory over Ansarallah (aka “Houthis”) was declared by “Orange Bad Man.” Yemen “capitulated” because “they didn’t want to fight anymore.” Oddly, “Orange Bad Man” has long proclaimed that he was a victim of the “fake news” media, yet he is now the chief disseminator of “fake news.”

Postscipt: The world according to “Orange Bad Man” is becoming tiresome. The “fake news” media also excels in obfuscation. Fortunately, Larry Johnson over at SONAR 21 has been unpacking the truth about Ukraine, Iran, Yemen, NATO, and empire for the last two weeks. The articles are fairly comprehensive.

Cinco de Mayo 2025

No celebration. No cerveza. No fun. Well, that’s Cinco de Mayo 2025 in a “nutshell.” Sheesh! Well, at least the Deep House Cat Show has returned. So, the Beats® Pill can stay for the time being. Of course, with the idiotic tariffs instituted by “Orange Bad Man,” the Pill (made in China) will probably increase in price to $300 or more.

Otherwise, same ol’ shit. Same routine, too. Sleep deprivation continues unabated. Oddly, heart palpitations are nearly non-existent. The Watch Series 9 is still monitoring heart rate and HRV. Very few HRV spikes have been occurring, and there is seemingly very little correlation to anything.

The only alarming indication caused by sleep deprivation is acute absent-mindedness (read: dementia). The fear is that the latter will worsen. What a predicament that will be!

Dinners have been relegated to salads, with a couple days of greasy burgers from the other fast food joint in town. Dinner at Subway® averages about twice per week, now procured at a different location in town (which honors the “Meal Deal” promotion). No return to Panda Express® yet.

The vast hurdy-gurdy video library (HGVL) has been reinstated. A few new choice selections have been added. Why? Sheer boredom, of course! With so few approved Web sites to peruse, there’s nothing else to accomplish on-line. Sheesh!

On a tragic note, “Orange Bad Man” has gone “bonkers.” He’s “over the top” now with all of his buffoonish antics. Clearly, his mental faculties have been overcome with megalomania. What else can explain both his Fascist rants and erratic behavior? Perhaps his total subservience to the Zionists is clashing with his conscience. The “bait and switch” negotiations with Russia and Iran, the tariff bullshit with China … “epic fail” and humiliation for empire. What a fiasco!

Addendum: To his credit, “Orange Bad Man” has kept his promise concerning the revocation of the “woke” bullshit and other assorted nonsense (e.g., open border). The only reasonable explanation for how his administration has been able to accomplish the latter is its fetid support for the Zionists. In other words, the Zionists have given the administration its permission. Recently, Paul Craig Roberts, Scott Ritter, and even Colonel Doug McGregor have expressed scathing criticisms of the administration and its policies.
